Co Curricular Activities
and
Hobby Clubs



The years a student spends in the school should enable him to acquire sound principles of conduct and action and lay a solid foundation of truth and purposeful living when he attains adulthood. Principles of honesty, trust, co-operation, self-reliance, leadership and hard work are inculcated through various school activities. In these activities the student learns to do things himself under the supervision of teachers. The co-curricular activities are to serve the tastes and aptitudes of the pupils and every student is recommended to take part in as many activities as possible. Absence from co-curricular activities will be treated on par with absence from regular classes. 

Library: Library books are made available for students of class IV and above. Library cards served to each student are meant to take books from the library for reading for a specific time. Absolute silence must be maintained in the reading room.

Literary Association: The Literary Association of the School consists of the Principal, and elected staff member to be called the speaker, three language teachers and five nominated pupils who will go into promoting literary activities of various types suited to all classes. Monthly gatherings for dramatics, debates and quiz sessions will be organised by the Association. 

 Audio Visual Education: The Audio Visual Society comprises the following members. The Principal, a Director, two staff members and two staff pupils. The A.V.hall is equipped with overhead projector and VCP cum T.V. The available tapes are catalogued for reference.

 Laboratory: The updated laboratory should help the teachers in their teaching. The students can however go to the laboratory for experiments under the supervision of concerned teachers.

Physical Education Board: Consists of the school physical education training teachers, N.C.C Masters and the student representatives.

Physical training includes track and field sports games (cricket, foot ball, roller skating, basket ball, volley ball, lawn tennis, ring tennis, table tennis and N.C.C.)

Environmental Protection Force: A group consisting of five staff members and ten students will help in maintaining the whole campus clean and tidy daily.

 Computering: The school runs Loyola Computer Center with qualified personnel giving coaching in various courses to inmates and people around. The well equipped laboratories put the trainees in close touch with computers. The learning of computer is made necessary for students of higher classes and incorporated into the curriculum. Computer examination is compulsory for all and the evaluation is taken note of for the purpose of grades.

Social Action Association: The members take active part in social awareness camps and visit poor and down-trodden people to console them. An awareness of friendly and social justice is created among the students.

 Science Forum: The members are encouraged to have some creativity of mind in doing something useful and productive. They visit some labs of interest and widen their knowledge.

 


Hobby Clubs

The school has a system of hobby clubs which provide ample opportunities to encourage the children to utilize their creative energies and skills and develop their artistic talents in a particular field. The students are free to choose the club of their liking. However, once the selection is made, no further change will be allowed.
